Prospect Centre raise, £90.63 for the Trussell Trust charity

3rd January 2020

Over the festive period Maria Kamper and Claire Adamson welcomed shoppers to a Free mince pie and a glass of mulled wine.

The event was held in the shopping centre over two afternoons giving shoppers time to relax and chat with Prospect Centre staff.
Although the event was free to all, we are truly grateful of the generosity in supporting us and donating money towards our chosen charity, we wish you a Happy New Year!

(We also collected some dry foods from the collection box we had in the shopping Centre, these items have now been sent to hull local food bank., thank you again for your kind donations.)

The Trussell Trust, an organisation that aims to end hunger and poverty in the UK. The Trussell Trust supports more than 1,200 food banks across the UK, including the Normanton food bank, to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people in need, as well as providing support to help people resolve the challenges they face. In 2018-19, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s network provided 1.6 million emergency food parcels to people in crisis. More than 550,000 of these went to children.
