Beatrix Potter-Themed Brunch

12th March 2018

A Beatrix Potter-themed brunch is coming to Prospect Centre and families are excited.

The free event is being held during Easter half term as part of our growing Kids Club, which now boasts more than 500 members.

Just some of the activities on offer include Pin the Tail on Peter Rabbit and Tabitha Twitchit’s Treasure Hunt, which both involve lots of free sweets and the chance to win family cinema tickets at The Odeon.
Mum and professional child-minder Becky Richards, 26, says her three-year-old loves anything to do with the popular children’s author and has not stopped talking about the event since it was announced on the shopping centre’s Facebook page.

She said: “Skylar can’t wait for the brunch next week, it’s all she’s been talking about for weeks. I remember reading the Beatrix Potter books as a child and it’s lovely to see my little one so fond of it too.

“As a professional child minder, I am always on the lookout out for events to take the children to and you can always guarantee that Prospect Centre will be hosting free activities during the school holidays.”

The activities will be based upstairs in the centre’s stEAT Food Court, on Tuesday 27th March, from 11am and there will be discounted food offers available for visitors.

Maria Kamper, centre manager, said: “We wanted to offer our shoppers something different to our usual annual Easter party and with the launch of the new Peter Rabbit Film we thought this would be the perfect theme.

“Our seasonal events have grown in popularity over the years and our visitors have come to look forward to them, as well as our retailers who benefit from an increase in footfall and sales.

“I am confident this will be another success and I look forward to welcoming lots of families for a fun day out.”
