A bustling shopping centre has teamed up with a celebrity stylist to offer the ultimate fashion and beauty makeover to celebrate Hull Fashion Week.
Prospect Shopping Centre is offering one lucky shopper the chance to win a complete style overhaul worth more than £300 with stylist to the stars Lewis-Duncan Weedon, who is also hosting the Hull Fashion Week finale for the second year running.
The competition, dubbed Prospect Style Squad, will run from Saturday 16th to 23rd April to compliment the city-wide action packed events calendar, with the exclusive styling experience taking place on Sunday 24th to round off an epic week of fashion.
To enter, visitors to the centre need to fill out a nomination form explaining why they, or a friend, deserve to win before posting it in the giant red post box which shoppers can find in front of the scenic lift.
Lee Appleton, centre manager, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer one of our shoppers the chance to win a makeover with a renowned stylist.
“With Mr Weedon’s background as a model, stylist and presenter, he certainly knows his stuff when it comes to the latest trends and the competition entries have already been flooding in.
“With the centre’s expanding fashion retail mix, this competition presents a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate, showcase and establish Prospect Centre firmly on Hull’s fashion map.”
The fashion week, which is funded by Hull Business Improvement District (BID) and sponsored by Hugh Rice, will showcase more than 70 local businesses and high street brands, with Lewis-Duncan hosting the finale.
The London-based fashion stylist and presenter, who is also an ambassador for the Princes Trust, said he was eager to support Prospect Centre’s fashion week plans after spotting a post about the makeover on Twitter.
Lewis Duncan said: “I am delighted to be involved in the Prospect Style Squad competition while co-hosting Hull Fashion Week again. With summer just around the corner this is the perfect time for a major style overhaul and I can’t wait to be able to help the winner pick out some of the hottest trends on the high-street.
“Fashion in Hull has grown tremendously and is only set to get stronger as it heads into its City of Culture year.”
As well as the £300 to spend on a fashion and beauty overhaul, the prize will also include exclusive free gifts from premium beauty brands in Boots and discount offers and free samples from other retailers within the centre.
Entry forms are available from the No7 beauty counter in Boots, Bolo, Officers Club Eden, The Perfume Shop and Pep & Co.
Entries will close at 5pm on Saturday 23rd April. For more information please visit www.prospectshoppingcentre.co.uk.
