One of Hull’s most haunted buildings will once again be hosting a series of spooktacular events that will see trick or treaters of all ages descend upon the venue on Halloween.
Prospect Shopping Centre, which was built on the old Hull Royal Infirmary and has been the site for many hauntings over the last four decades, will be transforming its strEAT foodcourt into an eerie cinema that will play back-to-back horror movies after hours, from 6.30pm right through until the witching hour.
The Horror-thon will be just one of the many events, dubbed Nightmare on Prospect Street II – following on from last year’s success – that will be happening around the Centre.
Back by popular demand, the Little Pumpkins Party, a free fancy dress party for children of all ages, will take place upstairs in the strEAT foodcourt from 2pm to 4pm and will feature everything from face painting and a Halloween craft session through to a trick or treat route around the shops.
Meanwhile, leading hypnotherapist Sheila Granger will be taking over one of the Centre’s empty units, where she will perform a group hypnotherapy session for shoppers who have a serious fear of the dark.
Throughout the day and night, strEAT food-court will also be serving up discounted deals on Halloween-themed food and drinks.
All of the events are free to attend, however guests will be encouraged to leave a small donation as part of the Centre’s fundraising efforts for St Andrews Hospice.
