When the clothing store Evans, which specialises in women’s plus size clothing, re-opens on Saturday, inside Prospect Centre, it will be the biggest anchor store in the region.
The women’s retailer has seen business boom in recent months, particularly since store closures in both Grimsby and Princess Quay and the refurb comes shortly after the centre unveiled three new additions to its eclectic retail mix, including Lavitta UK, Yours Clothing and a brand new business, Nuu Salad Bar.
Lee Appleton, centre manager, believes the expanding multifaceted roster of both premium and local retailers coupled with refurbishment investment in both shop fits and the mall will really help the centre solidify its status as the shopping destination of choice.
“Evans’ store fit could not have come at a better time as we work towards enhancing the overall shopping experience at the centre. We are very keen to ensure it is an attractive retail destination that the local community and visitors to the city centre can enjoy.
“We hope that new improvements will continue to attract interest from new retailers and also give shoppers the opportunity to rediscover just what the centre has to offer.”
To mark the opening of the newly-decorated Evans Clothing store there will be a ribbon cutting and Prosecco reception from 9am as well as multiple discount offers throughout the day.
A spokesperson for Evans said: “We’re really excited to reveal our newly refurbished store Saturday 14th May; we’d like to thank our customers for their patience over the last three weeks. Good things take time; we’re continuously looking at ways to improve our customer service, shopping experience and customer loyalty and ensure we’re offering our customers the best service possible.”
