Prospect Shopping Centre teams up with Hull KR to find Hull’s Superhero Dad!

Prospect Shopping Centre is welcoming two high profile ‘red and white’ Super League players into the centre on Saturday, June 7.

Two players from Hull Kingston Rovers – the identities of whom will be revealed on the day – will be donning Superman t-shirts and posing for photographs with shoppers between 12noon and 1pm.

The event is aimed at raising the profile of Father’s Day, which is just around the corner, and encouraging shoppers to try and win an Adult Half Season Pass for the remaining games of the 2014 season, courtesy of Hull KR.

All shoppers have to do is pose for a picture with the two players here at the centre and visit the Prospect Shopping Centre website later in the day to find their picture and get as many votes as possible – simply click ‘Like’ to vote for it, the one with the most Likes will ultimately win the prize so tell all your friends and family to vote for you!

Black and white fans shouldn’t be disappointed as the centre is hoping to team up with the club for another initiative later in the year, all being well.

Hull School of Art & Design Opens “Pop Up” Shop in the Prospect Shopping Centre!

To celebrate the annual Hull BID Fashion Week, the Prospect Shopping Centre is handing over one of its units to post graduate students from the Hull School of Art and Design, giving them the chance to run their own “Pop Up Shop”.

The students, who are all studying Fashion and costume design courses, will be opening the shop on Friday 18th April, giving shoppers a glimpse of their work and the students a first-hand experience of working in the retail industry.

Half of the unit, which is located opposite Goldsmiths, will be dedicated to the work of these up-and-coming designers, giving them the opportunity to showcase, and possibly sell, their creations.

The other half of the unit will be used as a Charity Swap Shop.  You will be able to donate your old clothes, which the students from HSAD will transform into beautiful new outfits.  These will then be sold with all proceeds going to charity.

The HSAD Pop Up Shop will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm for four weeks.
