In a bid to celebrate retail excellence, one shopping centre in Hull has launched its first Shopping Centre Oscars.

 

The Prospect Centre, based in the heart of the city, is recognising and encouraging high standards by asking members of the public to vote for their favourite shops within the centre.

 

Shoppers can vote on three different categories including Employee of the Season, Retailer of the Season and Best Dressed Window Display.

 

Speaking about the awards, The Prospect Centre manager, Pete Barber, said: “Retail awards are a fantastic way to celebrate employee achievement and good service.

 

“Everyone who casts a vote will be entered into a prize draw to win £150 worth of Prospect Centre vouchers to spend at a store of their choice. The voucher is a great incentive to get shoppers involved and I hope lots of people take the opportunity to let us know who they think deserves special recognition,” he added.

 

Shoppers have until Tuesday, August 31 to vote and can do so by picking up a nomination form from any of The Prospect’s retailers and posting it in the entry box located in the heart of the centre.

 

The winning store will receive a glass trophy and a window vinyl, highlighting their achievement, which will be displayed in their shop front.
